UMAG, Croatia -- Defending champion Tommy Robredo beat fellow Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-4, 6-4 on Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the Croatia Open. Robredo, seeded second, converted only two out of 11 break points on his way to victory. The Spaniard played a very solid game from the baseline and won 90 per cent of his first serves.
